MILTON

Consolidated Elementary School recently earned the highest elementary report card grade in the state, and the Milton School District will celebrate Wednesday morning, according to a news release.

The celebration will run from 9 to 9:30 a.m. in the gym at Consolidated School, 4838 N. County F, Janesville.

State Rep. Don Vruwink, D-Milton, state Sen. Janis Ringhand, D-Evansville, and Assistant State Superintendent Dawn Crim will attend, according to the release.

The state Department of Public Instruction gave Consolidated a score of 98.1 when it released its annual school report cards in November.

The rating means the school “significantly exceeds expectations” and ranks higher than 1,201 other public elementary schools in the state, as previously reported by The Gazette.
