JANESVILLE—First Congregational Church has received a donation of about 100 religious history books from the estate of Maurice Montgomery.

Maurice (Monty) Montgomery was a well-known Rock County historian. His donation of books will be shown to the congregation of First Congregational Church during services Sunday, Dec. 3.

All remaining books will be sold to the public from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 9, in the church atrium, 54 S. Jackson St.

The books are hardbound with no torn pages. Included in the group of religious history books are eight Bibles.

Most books will be priced at $4 each.
