Evansville boys ride defense to win
Defense proved to be the difference Tuesday night for Evansville High's boys basketball team.
The Blue Devils limited Brodhead to 19 points in the second half in pulling away for a 60-46 win in Rock Valley Conference crossover game.
Evansville trailed by three at half but outscored Brodhead 36-19 in the second half.
Owen Schoenenberger scored a game-high 19 points for the Blue Devils.
Danny Lewis and Josiah DeLorme scored 14 points each for the Cardinals.

The game was tied 48-48 after three quarters, but Jefferson made nine of 14 free throws in the fourth.

Ian Olson led Turner with eight points.
