Man accused of bogus utility work
JANESVILLE
Kevin N. Dennis, 37, of Pecatonica, Ill., was arrested Jan. 12 at the Rock County Jail, Janesville.
Current Communications, a Madison television and Internet service company, called police Dec. 11 to report Dennis had taken money from as many as nine customers in the rural Beloit and Orfordville area, according to Rock County Sheriff's Office documents.
In most cases, Dennis accepted checks for $85 and turned in invoices with forged customer signatures to Current Communications, according to sheriff's office records.
Dennis is scheduled to appear Feb. 12 in Rock County Court.
