— A Janesville woman stopped her car Sunday night after seeing a red, flashing light on the console of the car behind her, but the other car was not a police squad, according to a Janesville police report.

The woman was westbound on West Racine Street around 11 p.m. Sunday when she saw the flashing light. She pulled over on South Academy Street, and the other car pulled in behind her, according to the report.

A male got out, and at that point, the woman realized it wasn't a police car, and she left the area before calling police.

Police listed the incident as a case of impersonating an officer.
