Ngobi scores 36 points to propel Craig boys to win

Jerry Ngobi continues to have the hot hand for Janesville Craig's boys basketball team.

Thursday night against Madison East, Ngobi had his second straight game of 30-plus points to lead the Cougars to an 82-78 Big Eight Conference win. Ngobi finished with 36 against the Purgolders after scoring 31 on Saturday night against Middleton.

Craig (7-6, 4-6) jumped out to an 11-point halftime lead, but needed two Ngobi free throws with 12 seconds left to hold off East (6-6, 5-4). Ngobi finished 14-of-18 from the field and made all eight of his free-throw attempts.

The Cougars host Madison West on Saturday afternoon. Game time was moved up to 3:45 p.m.
