Final spurt carries Elkhorn boys to win

A late 6-0 run carried Elkhorn High's boys basketball team to victory Thursday night.

The Elks, behind Aaron Wales' steal and layup with 15 seconds left, rallied for a 60-56 Southern Lakes Conference win over Lake Geneva Badger.

Badger (4-7, 1-5) led 56-54 with less than a minute to play, but Elkhorn finished with a 6-0 run.

Wales finished with 18 points to lead the Elks, and Arik Anderson added 16.

Jake Kozlowski paced Badger with 14.

-- Burlington 57, Delavan-Darien 42—The host Demons moved with a half-game of first-place Wilmot by pulling away for the Southern Lakes win.

Delavan-Darien led by two at half but was outscored 33-16 in the second half.
