Sex offender assigned to area halfway facility
JANESVILLE A registered sex offender, Jimmie L. Mable, will be released from prison and assigned to the Rock Valley Community Program halfway facility Tuesday.
Mable was convicted of first- and second-degree sexual assault of a child July 22, 1994.
The Rock Valley facility is located at 203 W. Sunny Lane south of Janesville. While at the facility, Mable is to have no unapproved activities in the community without prior approval of his supervising agent, no contact with minors, no patronizing taverns, bars or liquor stores and no consumption of alcohol or drugs. Mable also must comply with standard sex offender rules and cooperate with GPS monitoring.
A press release from the Rock County Sheriff's Office said notification of Mable's placement "is not intended to increase fear, rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public."
