A number of area swimmers hope to make a splash at Friday's Division 2 and Saturday's Division 1 boys state meets.

The WIAA released late Saturday night the 18 additional qualifiers in each event for the state meet in Division 1, along with the 12 additional qualifiers in each event in Division 2. Saturday's sectional winners automatically qualified for the state meet.

Janesville Craig, which swam in the toughest sectional in the state at Middleton, qualified two relays and senior Jimmy Loftus for Saturday's Division 1 state meet at the UW-Natatorium in Madison.

Loftus will compete in the 500 freestyle after qualifying with a time of 5:01.79.

Janesville Parker senior Tommy Dvorak qualified in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.92.

Milton, which finished sixth at last year's Division 2 state meet, will be well represented at Friday's state meet. The Red Hawks have 10 individual qualifiers, along with all three relay teams.

In the 100 breaststroke, Milton will have senior Spencer Mattox, freshman Mitchell Roberts, senior John Toberman and senior Brandon Benson all swimming in the second heat.
