Dodgeville boys edge Evansville

Evansville High's rallied late but it wasn't enough to stop Dodgeville, which won 74-70, in a nonconference boys basketball game Monday.

Evansville is 8-10 overall. Dodgeville is 12-5.

The Blue Devils trailed 57-50 after three quarters. Bryan Rutkowski and Owen Schoenenberger scored seven points each in the final frame leading Evansville to a 20-17 advantage, but it was not enough to stop Dodgeville.

Rutkowski finished with 16 points and Schoenenberger added 14. Nick Crowley scored a game-high 26 points for Dodgeville.

-- Faith Christian 50, Palmyra-Eagle 40 (OT)—Joel Ingersoll scored seven points and Adam Montsma made six straight free throws in the overtime to lift Faith Christian to a nonconference victory.

Palmyra-Eagle is 9-10 overall. Faith Christian is 15-3.

The game ended 35-all in regulation. Faith Christian hammered Palmyra-Eagle 15-5 in the overtime.

Montsma scored 20 of his 24 points, including 10 straight free throws in the second half and OT. Ingersoll finished with 15 points. Diego Villarreal scored 11 points for Palmyra-Eagle.

Brett Prahl added 27 points and Alex Prahl chipped in 21 points for East Troy. Jeff Pickett scored 13 points and Evan Metger added 12 for Turner.
