Connor leads Monona Grove past Milton

Connor James scored five touchdowns Friday as the visiting Monona Grove Silver Eagles romped to a 49-22 victory over the Milton Red Hawks in Badger South football.

Milton is 0-4 in the Badger and 1-5 overall. Monona Grove is 5-0 and 5-1.

James gained 112 yards on 13 carries and scored on TD runs of 51 and 21 yards. James added TD pass catches of 34, 19 and 20 yards from quarterback Brett Percy.

Monona Grove rushed for 302 yards on 52 carries, while holding Milton to 78 yards on 23 carries.

Tanner Deegan caught a 64-yard touchdown pass from Evan Phillips and Mitchell Bachinski connected with Adam Catacutan on a 25-yard scoring pass to highlight Milton’s offense.
