Badger runs past Wilmot

Lake Geneva Badger’s rushing attack continues to shine in the Southern Lakes Conference.

Badger rushed for 351 yards, including five touchdowns, as the Badgers ran away from visiting Wilmot, 34-7, Friday night.

The Panthers trailed, 13-7, at the end of the first quarter, before quarterback Peter Krien and back Robert Johnson got rolling.

Krien rushed for touchdowns covering 41, 87 and 3 yards as Badger improved to 4-0 in the SLC and 4-1 overall.

Johnson rushed 20 times for 99 yards and scored on a 31-yard run. Matt Reynolds added two fourth-quarter touchdown runs of 1 and 12 yards.

The Badger defense picked off six Wilmot passes. Trenton Bobula and Austin Borst each had two interceptions.

 n Burlington 55, Delavan-Darien 21—Burlington’s Chad Redmer rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns as the Demons improved to 2-2 in the Southern Lakes.

Burlington scored 27 unanswered points in the second half to pull away from a 28-21 halftime advantage.

Danny Supernaw led Delavan-Darien (1-3) with 77 yards rushing and one touchdown.

Jake Sawyers added 111 yards on 13 rushes, and Arik Anderson rushed for 59 yards on eight carries as the Elks rolled up 334 rushing yards.

Elkhorn improved to 2-2 in the league, while Union Grove dropped to 0-4.
