Westosha shuts out Parker
SALEM Westosha Central scored two second-half goals to defeat Janesville Parker, 2-0, in nonconference boys soccer Friday night.
The Vikings (2-9-1) outshot Westosha Central, 11-9, but couldn’t convert.
“This was one of the better games we’ve played,” said Parker coach Andy Holmes. “We played well enough to win, but we just couldn’t finish tonight.”
Holmes praised the play of junior Matt Weis.
“He played the game of his life,” Holmes said. “He had four or five shots on goal and did an excellent job of anchoring our right midfield.”
Parker goalkeeper John Fillion had seven saves.
The Vikings play at Madison West on Tuesday.
