Software company moving headquarters to Beloit
BELOIT Comply365, a software design and development company, is relocating its headquarters to downtown Beloit.
The company will lease more than 4,000 square feet of office space in the Ironworks Campus. Established in 2007, Comply365 designs software platforms and applications that streamline documentation, training, compliance and workflow, according to a press release.
"The economics of Ironworks, coupled with its appealing high-tech environment for employees and clients alike, matched our location requirements. Wisconsin's favorable business climate and its coordinated economic development approach were important factors, as well," said CEO Kerry Frank in the press release.
The Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation facilitated the move through tax credits for the company.
"With each technology-orientated project announcement, the Janesville-Beloit MSA (Metropolitan Statistical Area) continues to demonstrate that it's ready for these types of investments," said Rock County Economic Development Manager James Otterstein in the press release.

Am I the only one that thinks this is an oddly written article? There is no mention from the author of where this company is from and how many jobs it will bring. It almost seems as though the reporter got all of his information from the press release it repeatedly mentions. This is poor journalism if you ask me.

This is a company with 17 employees. I don't know much about them but they are moving from Roscoe, IL. Such a small move, geographically, probably means jobs are not moving to Wisconsin. Sounds like a win for the company owners because they get a tax break benefit I'm sure, and a win for 1% Diane Hendricks because she has someone to lease part of the building she renovated. As for the rest of the Wisconsin citizens and taxpayer, no gain and no loss.

Corporate welfare from taxpayers via Wisconsin Economic Development Council. If were going to give businesses tax payer money let's at least be honest it is welfare for the wealthy plain and simple. No thanks to Walker but thanks to the teachers and everyone else who is now less well off. TAX THE 1%
