Snappers start playoffs tonight

BELOIT — The Beloit Snappers will host the second game of their best-of-3 Midwest League playoff series against the Clinton LumberKings on Thursday.

Game 3, if necessary, also will be at Pohlman Field on Friday.

The series opener is at Clinton today.

All games start at 6:30 p.m.

The Snappers finished the regular season with a 77-63 record, which is the second most in the Western Division. Beloit was 39-31 at home and 38-32 at home.

Miguel Sano finished as the Midwest League leader in home runs (29), RBI (100), and total bases (238). Jason Wheeler had a league-leading 14 victories, and Corey Williams finished fourth in the league in saves with 17.
