Edgerton wins Rock Valley finale
Edgerton High iwon its Rock Valley North season finale and is headed to the WIAA playoffs.
The Crimson Tide used two touchdown passes within seconds of one another, and Jacob Grams rushed for 154 yards to lead Edgerton to a 27-13 victory over visiting McFarland.
Sutton DeVoll only completed two passes, but they both went for touchdowns. He hit Adam Converse with a 62-yard scoring pass to tie the game at 7-all in the second quarter.
McFarland fumbled the ensuing kickoff, and Edgerton recovered. DeVoll then hit Converse for 20 yards and a touchdown on the next play.
Grams’ running then helped the Crimson Tide stay ahead. His 2-yard run capped the scoring, after Brooks Johnson hit Lucas Gregory with an 18-yard pass to put Edgerton ahead, 20-13, in the third quarter.
McFarland, which also qualified for the playoffs, finished the regular season 4-3 in the Rock North and 5-3 overall.
Edgerton, 3-4 and 4-4, plays at Manitowoc Roncalli on Friday night.

n Evansville/Albany 42, East Troy 32—Michael Johnson scored five touchdowns—upping his two-week total to 12—to lead Evansville/Albany to its victory over East Troy and creating a three-way tie for the Rock Valley North title.
The Blue Devils, Trojans and Jefferson each finished 5-2 in the North.
Johnson, who scored seven touchdowns last week against Turner, scored on runs of 8, 3, 1, 5 and 28 yards against East Troy. He finished with 206 yards on 34 carries.
East Troy led, 14-0, when Charlie Kutschereuter scored on a 5-yard run in the second quarter, and led, 20-7, but the Blue Devils scored the next four touchdowns to take command.

n Jefferson 55, Whitewater 7—Zeke Emerick gained 175 yards on 21 carries and scored five touchdowns for the Eagles.
Garrett Blaeske ran for 14 yards to give Jefferson a 7-0 lead, but it was all Jefferson after Whitewater’s Wendel Welter scored on a three-yard run to tie it 7-7 in the first quarter.
Blaeske finished with 166 yards on 15 carries as Jefferson rolled for 435 yards on the ground to Whitewater’s 165.
Jefferson enters a first-round playoff 6-2 overall and finished 5-2 in the Rock Valley North. Whitewater finishes 3-5 overall and 2-5 in the Rock Valley North.

Rock Valley South
n Brodhead/Juda 21, Parkview 7—The Vikings’ quest for their first playoff berth since the 2002 season fell short.
Parkview concludes the season 3-5 overall and 3-4 in the Rock Valley South. Brodhead/Juda heads to the playoffs 5-3 overall and 5-2 in the Rock Valley South.
Three high snaps on punts resulted in losses of 20, 35 and 22 yards and cleared the path for two Brodhead/Juda touchdowns.
Storm LaDue scored on a 21-yard touchdown pass from Trevor Aasen to give the Vikings a 7-0 second-quarter lead. With 90 seconds remaining in the half, a center snap resulted in a 20-yard loss.
The Cardinals’ Hunter Colden scored on a 3-yard run with 13 second remaining, but Brodhead/Juda missed the extra point and Parkview led, 7-6 at the half.
Colden added an 11-yard TD run in the third quarter to give Brodhead/Juda a 14-7 lead on two-point conversion. Park-view lost 35 yards on a bad punt snap to set up the Cards’ scoring drive.
Derick Turner added a
3-yard TD run in the fourth quarter to seal the Cardinals’ victory.
Colden gained 69 yards on 17 carries and quarterback Matt Trotter gained 62 yards on 11 carries for Brodhead/Juda. Allen Beggs gained 70 yards on 15 carries for Parkview and teammate Elliott Olson added 60 yards on 10 carries.

n Big Foot 49, Palmyra-Eagle 19—Big Foot concluded another perfect run through the Rock Valley North, running its conference winning streak to 43 games.
Carter Hehr completed eight of nine passes for 159 yards and three touchdowns, including two to Matt Ripkey. Ripkey caught six passes for 86 yards.
Mason Dixon rushed 10 times for 106 yards and one score as the Chiefs finished the regular season at 8-0.
Brett Knoebel rushed 11 times for 60 yards and a score for the Panthers (1-6, 1-7).

Severson gained 75 yards on nine carries, including 25- and 32-yard touchdown runs. Severson passed for touchdowns of 50 and 16 yards to Jalen McMartin and added a 32-yard scoring strike to Matt Paschke.
Paul Larson returned a kickoff 75 yards for Turner’s lone touchdown.
Turner (0-8) hosts Wisconsin Heights at 6 p.m. Thursday and Clinton (2-6) plays Adams-Friendship at 6 p.m. Thursday.
