Badger, Waterford set up SLC showdown
Lake Geneva Badger and Waterford are headed for a showdown for the Southern Lakes Conference football championship next Friday.
Badger hammered Union Grove, 61-12, and Waterford smashed Delavan-Darien, 45-22, as both teams rolled to 6-0 and head to the final game of the regular season at Waterford.
Badger’s Robert Johnson gained 171 yards on 11 carries and scoried twice, while teammate Peter Krien gained 138 yards on 11 carries and three touchdowns. Badger gained 449 yards to Union Grove’s 145 yards.
The Badgers led 49-0 at the half en route to sending Union Grove to 0-6 in the Lakes and 0-7 overall.

Kody Azarian rushed for 83 yards on 15 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns for Waterford. Danny Supernaw had 60 yards on 10 carries, including a 49-yard run as Waterford held the Comets to 88 yards rushing.
