Parker soccer tops Stoughton; Beloit turns back Craig
STOUGHTON Parker High concluded its regular season Thursday with a 1-0 victory over Stoughton in nonconference boys soccer.
Jonathan Trejo scored his team-leading ninth goal off an assist from Tyler Weilbrenner at 58 minutes of the second half to give Parker the victory.
Parker finished the regular season
5-16-1 overall.
"Trejo missed seven games and we are happy to have him back," Parker coach Andy Holmes said. "Tyler (Weilbrenner) is distributing the ball really well, and I think we are playing the best I've seen us play."
The Vikings play at Elkhorn to open WIAA regional soccer play at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Beloit turns back Craig
Two costly turnovers kept Janesville Craig's boys soccer team from extending its winning streak Thursday night.
Beloit Memorial scored two goals in an eight-minute span of the first half en route to a 2-0 nonconference win over the host Cougars.
Craig (8-14-1) had several scoring chances but could not get a shot past Beloit goalkeeper Ivan Perez.
"It was a typical Beloit/Craig battle," Craig coach Charlie Friedrich said. "Against a team like Beloit, you can't give them extra shots on goal, and that's what we did.
"We hit the post in the second half and had other good chances to score but couldn't finish."
Craig wraps up the regular season with a nonconference home game against Whitewater at 11 a.m. Saturday.
