Craig volleyball improves to 6-2; La Follette sweeps Parker

— Janesville Craig's girls volleyball team continues to roll.

The Cougars dominated Madison East on Tuesday night in a 3-0 Big Eight Conference win in the Craig gym. Craig won by scores of 25-9, 25-19 and 25-13.

Craig improved to 27-6 overall, including 6-2 in the conference.

"We came out strong and kept it up all night long," Craig coach Blake Budrow said. "Everybody contributed tonight, especially serving. We had 25 aces for the match which is a lot.

"We're playing pretty well right now because everyone understands their role on the team. Hopefully, we can keep it going."

Craig hosts Beloit Memorial and Delavan-Darien in a triangular Thursday night.

-- La Follette 3, Parker 0—The Lancers took control early en route to the Big Eight win.

Parker (3-6 in the Big Eight) pushed La Follette in game three but lost 26-24.

"We've proven all year that when we play together and limit our mistakes, we can play with anybody," Parker coach Dave Lehmann said. "But against a team like La Follette, a team like ours has to have a great effort from everybody to have a chance.

"Ashley (Hartwig) had another great night, and some others had some good stats, but we made too many mistakes."

Parker is idle until the Big Eight Conference Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Sun Prairie.
