East Troy boys find its stride

Not even a slow start could derail East Troy's boys basketball team Thursday night.

The Trojans trailed by seven after one quarter but took the lead for good with a 21-12 advantage in the second and pulled away for a 64-52 Rock Valley North win over Edgerton.

East Troy pushed its lead to nine after three quarters and made 11 free throws in the fourth to thwart a late Edgerton rally.

Nate Dodge had 21 points to lead the Trojans, while twin brothers Brett and Alex Prahl combined for 27.

Adam Converse led the Crimson Tide with 16 points.

-- McFarland 61, Evansville 56—The Spartans held on for the Rock Valley North win thanks to a combined 29 points from Brandon Doll and Cory Frank.

McFarland (2-1, 2-0) trailed by 12 after the first quarter but outscored Evansville 17-4 in the second to take a one-point halftime lead.

Owen Schoenenberger scored 12 points before fouling out to lead Evansville.
