Fury remains winless
STOUGHTON The Rock County Fury started out the right way, but couldn't keep up Monday en route to a 5-2 loss to Stoughton Co-op in girls high school hockey.
Katie Maegli gave the Fury a 1-0 lead on a goal at 9:59 of the first period with assists from Ellie Woodman and Karie Harrington.
Stoughton scored two straight goals in the second period to take a 2-1 lead, but Jordan Hoffman tied it for Rock County at 14:28. It was all Stoughton the rest of the way.
Roeming scored her second goal of the second at 6:35 and added a pair of goals in the third for the final outcome.
"Unfortunately, we have not found that extra gear that we need to take over games," Fury coach Darrel Moore said.
The Fury (0-5) travel to Arrowhead on Friday.
