A third-place finish was good enough to send Elkhorn’s doubles team of Drew Kamenick and Adam Skoczylas to next week’s WIAA Division 1 State Meet at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison.

Kamenick and Skoczylas defeated Corey Caldwell and Andrew Schmidt of Burlington, 6-0, 4-6, 7-5, in the third-place match of Flight 1 to earn the automatic bid to state.

Lake Geneva Badger’s Dimitri Chironis finished third at Flight 1 singles to also advance to state.

Janesville Craig’s doubles team of Zack Hardin and Joe Worple was third in Flight 2, but only the Flight champion qualified for state.

Janesville Parker’s Jaren Norrell and Spencer Debroux lost the third-place match in Flight 3 doubles.

Racine Park won the team title and advanced to the State Team Tournament in two weeks.
