— Extradition proceedings for an Ohio man suspected of killing his mother were continued Tuesday in Walworth County Court.

Ryan Dillon, 25, of Springfield, Ohio, is wanted in Ohio's Clark County in connection with the May 9 murder of his 59-year-old mother, Vicky Burks. Her body was found in her Springfield home. Blunt force to the head is listed as the cause of death. Authorities said her body was hidden.

The case has been continued until 1 p.m. June 19.

Delavan police officers apprehended Dillon shortly before 9 p.m. May 10 after a passerby spotted a pickup truck belonging to Dillon's father-in-law.

An Ohio television station reported that when police went to investigate the truck report, they found Dillon walking nearby with a backpack. Dillon provided officers with a false name, but he was later identified by scars and marks on his body.

Dillon is being held in the Walworth County Jail on a charge of operating a vehicle without the owner's consent.
