Beloit Snappers' rally falls just short

— Kane County built an early 4-0 lead Tuesday night and held on for a 4-3 Midwest League win over Beloit at Pohlman Field.

Beloit got within a run in the ninth but left the tying run at third.


Miguel Sano hit his league-leading 10th home run of the season for Beloit in the eighth to make it 4-2.


Matthew Tomshaw (1-1) suffered the loss.


Beloit begins a three-game series at Peoria tonight.
