— The race for Delavan Town Board includes newcomer Chris Marsicano and incumbents Richard W. Bonsall and Barb Militello battling for two open seats.

Richard Bonsall (I)

Age: 72

Address: 115 Glenwood Road, Williams Bay.

Job: Retired from the general construction/contractor business

Education: Graduate of Delavan-Darien High School

Community service: Making volunteer improvements such as remodeling the kitchen in Community Park next to Delavan Lake.

Elected posts: None

Major campaign issues: Keeping Delavan Lake clean and continuing improvements at Community Park.

"We had the inlet cleaned last year, and this is supposed to help keep the rest of the lake clean. Browns Channel, which feeds into the lake, also was cleaned last year. The amount of fishermen we have here is unreal, so keeping our lake clean brings in a lot of revenue. This is something we have to stay on top of.

"Community Park is our other revenue generator, and we need to keep improving the park to keep people returning to the community building for events. Tourism is one of the best revenue generators we have."

Major campaign issues: Delavan Lake, Highway 50 and Sho-Deen Development.

"The inlet project has been completed, and now it is time to re-establish a monitoring program, which is ready to begin this spring with the U.S. Geological Society."

"By staying involved we can do what is best for our business area along Highway 50."

"The town needs to oversee the Sho-Deen Development to ensure that it stays in the town where the town will continue to make sure the development stays within our master plan."
