Two seek seat on Bradford Town Board

— Two people, including one incumbent, are squaring off for one supervisory seat on the Bradford Town Board.

Neither, however, is a newcomer to the town.

Robert A. Broege (I)

Age: 65

Address: 2927 S. Carvers Rock Road, Avalon.

Job: Self-employed dairy farmer

Education: Clinton Community High School

Community service: Past 4-H leader and a member of various dairy boards.

Elected posts: Bradford town supervisor for more than 10 years.

Major campaign issues: Bradford is zoned agriculture. I think the township needs to keep local control of government. Maintain our roads as funds provide.


Nancy A. Pope

Age: 54

Address: 2346 S. Carvers Rock Road, Avalon.

Job: Retired from General Motors and now works with her husband at their business, Kevinís Machine & Welding.

Education: Graduated from Delavan-Darien High School in 1975.

Community service: Instrumental in forming Friends of Carver-Roehl Park and now serves as president; leader and co-chair for Bradford 4-H; bell ringer for the Salvation Army.

Elected posts: None

Major campaign issues: No major issues. I just want to get involved in local government.
