Incumbent Brodhead Mayor Douglas Pinnow is being challenged by Richard Genthe.

Douglas A. Pinnow (I)

Age: 60

Address: 701 10th St., Brodhead.

Job: Pharmacist and owner of Pinnow Pharmacy, Brodhead.

Education: Bachelor of Science from UW-Madison School of Pharmacy.

Community service: Member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church Council, Optimist Club, Lions Club, Brodhead Chamber of Commerce and Business Improvement District Board.

Elected posts: Twelve years as Brodhead School Board member, seven years on Brodhead City Council, mayor of Brodhead from 2004 to present.

Major campaign issues: Fire department issues and working together to make our great department even better. With the possibility of Shopko coming to town, we need to keep our existing businesses successful. Promoting economic development and tourism; working together to promote Brodhead as a great place to live, work, shop, eat and enjoy.

Address: 906 Fourth St., Brodhead.

Job: Owner of Ric Genthe & Associates, Brodhead.

Education: Commercial arts degree from Madison College in 1971.

Community service: Green County Leadership for the Green County Economic Development Committee; Brodhead Economic Development Committee.

Elected posts: Two terms on the Brodhead City Council

Major campaign issues: Restore and revitalize Brodhead's downtown by cleaning and restoring its best asset, the Sugar River and Mill Race. Working to clean our natural waterway for four seasons of recreation such as canoeing, fishing and cross-country skiing to attract tourists to our city. Recreational activity will attract businesses as well as increase foot traffic downtown.
