— The Janesville Jets lost more ground in their chase for the Midwest Division title Sunday with a 4-0 defeat that gave host Springfield a three-game sweep in North American Hockey League action.

Janesville (36-18) trails the St. Louis Blues (38-14) by three points, 79-76, with two games remaining at home Friday and Saturday against Springfield.


St. Louis has played three less games than Janesville.


The Jets experienced their fourth shutout loss this season. Janesville lost 1-0 twice to St. Louis and 1-0 to Traverse City.


Springfield goaltender Tyler Parks stopped 41 Janesville shots to post the shutout victory.
