Blues edge Janesville Jets in OT

— The Janesville Jets lost 4-3 in overtime Friday to Springfield in a North American Hockey League game.

The Jets are three points behind first-place St. Louis in the NAHL’s Midwest Division with four games remaining in the regular season.

Ben Kramer scored at 4:49 of the overtime to give Springfield the victory.

Eric Carlson scored twice in the second period to give the Jets a 3-2 lead. Springfield’s Josef Pontasch scored a short-handed goal at 8:44 of the third period.

Janesville and Springfield meet in the second game of the three-game series at 7 tonight.
