Jets sweep Coulee Region

— The Janesville Jets remain on the heels of the St. Louis Bandits in the NAHL Midwest Division.

Jordan Bancroft scored two goals, including the game-winner with less than seven minutes left in the game, to give the Jets a

4-3 victory over visiting Coulee Region in North American Hockey League action Friday night in front of 1,084 fans at the Janesville Ice Arena.

The victory gives Janesville 75 points in the Midwest, one point behind first-place St. Louis.

Chill goaltender Aaron Davis kept his team in the game with 36 saves.. The Jets outshot the visitors, 33-15, in the first 40 minutes, but led


Jake Useldinger tied the game just a minute into the final period. The score remained tied until Bancroft scored his second goal, with both assisted by Jordan Himley, to put the Jets up, 4-3, at the 13:18 mark.

Brock Kautz stopped 17 shots to pick up the win.

Janesville plays a three-game series at Springfield beginning next Friday.
