Rulevicius, Janesville Jets skate past Chill

— Pijus Rulevicius scored a goal and had two assists to lead Janesville to a 6-2 victory over Coulee Region in a North American Hockey League contest Thursday night at the Janesville Ice Arena.

The victory moved the Jets to within a point of first-place St. Louis. The Bandits were idle Thursday.

The Jets outshot the Chill, 35-17.

John Olen scored twice for the Jets. His power-play goal put Janesville ahead, 1-0, in the first period. He opened the third period with an unassisted goal that put Janesville in command at 4-1.

Brock Kautz recorded 15 saves in net for the Jets, and held the Chill to a 1-for-5 night on the power play.

Eric Carlson added a goal and assist.

The teams conclude their two-game series with a 7 p.m. game today.
