— A group of area mothers will offer handmade crafts at a fundraising event for the Rock County Cancer Coalition from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at Wesley Park Senior Apartments, 2001 Wesley Ave.

Mommies to Mommies will be selling crafts including wax meltings for wickless candles, homemade soap and greeting cards in the apartment building's community room. Apartment residents will furnish cookies and punch.

The nonprofit cancer coalition provides financial help to people with cancer and their families in Rock County. One of the ways the group helps is by providing gas cards for travel expenses for cancer treatment or doctor visits.

As of early February, the coalition had provided help to 27 Rock County residents.

For information about the coalition and directions about how to apply for help, visit rockcountycancercoaltion.org or email info@rockcountycancercoalition.org.
