— Matthew Summers was dialed in Tuesday night.

The Beloit pitcher threw a complete-game three-hitter to lead the Snappers to an 8-0 Midwest League victory over Kane County.

Beloit, which has already qualified for the postseason thanks to a second-place finish in the Western Division in the first half, led 3-0 in the fourth before adding three more runs, capped by Nate Roberts’ third home run of the season.

Summers was in complete control. The righthander improved to 7-4 as he struck out five and walked two.

Matthew Koch had three hits for Beloit, including his sixth home run of the season.

The two teams wrap up the three-game series today before Beloit returns home for a six-game homestand.
