Janesville Legion finishes with loss

— The Janesville American Legion baseball team concluded the Kenosha Tournament on Sunday with a 13-3 loss to Mundelein, Ill.

Janesville finished 3-2 in the tournament and is 12-7 for the season.

Janesville, which had seven hits, scored all its runs in the second inning.

Mundelein held a 7-3 lead after six innings, then added six runs on four hits and three walks in the seventh.

Janesville starter Adam Greene allowed six runs—five earned—on four hits through the first three innings. Mundelein hammered three Janesville pitchers for 13 hits.

“They were the better team,” Janesville coach Bob Schenck said. “We could not get any offense going today.’’

Janesville travels to Burlington at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
