— The Janesville Jets minor league hockey team is seeking new billet housing hosts for the 2012-13 season.

Jets hockey players, ages 16 to 20, live with area billet/housing families during the season while they are away from their hometowns. Up to 27 Jets players move to Janesville late in August each year until the season ends in April.

Each billet family is provided with the following:

-- $300 a month per hockey player housed to offset food and other costs.

-- Two Jets home season tickets per player housed.

-- An invitation to partake in a special Housing Family Appreciation Night at one of the games where the billet parents are recognized.

Qualifications include providing a bedroom for each player as well as a commitment to the players and providing a safe and caring environment along with general responsible guidance. The Jets will conduct background checks on all billet applicants.

Interested parties should visit the Janesville Jets website at www.janesvillejets.com and click on the billeting tab on the left side of the homepage for more information and the application.
Carol McCoshen is serving as the Jets Billet Coordinator. Parents interested in being a Jets Billet with additional questions can also email Carol at carol.mccoshen@capitolconsultants.net.
