Albion, Orfordville win

The Albion Tigers erased a 9-1 deficit to defeat Stoughton, 11-9, Sunday in Home Talent League baseball.

The Tigers scored eight runs in the sixth inning to tie the game. Adam Gregory and Ryan Stace each socked three-run homers to highlight the inning.

Kyle Johnson ripped an RBI double in the eighth inning to give Albion the lead for good. Gregory pitched four scoreless innings of relief to earn the victory and lift Albion to 7-0 in the West Division of the Southeast Section.

-- Orfordville 5, Utica 3 (11)—Matt Woodstock doubled home B.J. Cook and Zach Jones in the top of the 11th to down Utica.

Orfordville is 6-0 in the West Division of the Southeast Section.

Brent Cashore’s two-out, two-run single tied the game at 2 for Albion. Utica took a 3-2 lead with a run in the seventh, but Orfordville tied it in the eighth on Joe Lange’s bases-loaded sacrifice fly.

Lange allowed three runs on 10 hits and two walks while striking out 11. Utica starter Kyle Bates allowed five runs on 13 hits and three walks while striking out six.
