Rage cruises past Janesville Nighthawks

JANESVILLE The Rock County Rage went to 2-0 in the Great Midwest Football League e with a 50-2 victory over the Janesville Nighthawks on Saturday at Monterey Park.
Dyshaun Thomas took over at quarterback after Rage starting quarterback Danny Roberts was knocked out of the game with a bruised foot in the first quarter.
Thomas completed eight of 13 passes for 147 yards, including a 44-yard scoring pass to Jarmar Ayers.
The defense led the Rage, holding the Nighthawks (0-2) without a touchdown.
Tyler Honeck led the Rock County defense with nine tackles, including four for loss. Sancho Ellis had 2.5 sacks, while Carl Crawford had 1.5 sacks.
In all, the Rage defense had eight sacks and five interceptions.
T.J. Listenbee added an 80-yard punt return for a score in the third quarter.
The Rage will play their first home game next Saturday at Milton High. Rock County takes on the Illinois Gators at 6 p.m.

A team is only as good as it's leader. The Rage must have great leadership. The Nighthawks, they need some help. I have followed the GMFL and have seen some teams fold. Will the Nighthawks be next? There are 50 reasons why I think so.
