Bees shut out Beloit Snappers
BURLINGTON, IOWA The bats were silent Wednesday night for the Beloit Snappers.
Three Burlington pitchers combined on a six-hitter as the Bees blanked the Snappers, 5-0, in a Midwest League game.
Beloit starter Jason Wheeler (7-2) lost only his second game of the season, surrendering three earned runs on nine hits in five innings
Ryan Pineda had three hits for Burlington, including a double and a triple.
Beloit fell three games behind first-place Wisconsin in the Western Division.
Game two of the three-game series is tonight.
