Rhianna Noble threw a three-hitter to lead Orfordville Parkview to a 3-1 victory over host Brodhead in a WIAA Division 3 softball regional final Thursday afternoon.

Parkview advances to play either Poynette or Waterloo in a sectional semifinal at Deerfield on Monday at 5 p.m.

Noble, a senior, singled and scored the Vikings’ first run in the first inning, then drove home Katlyn Beighley with a sacrifice fly in the second inning to put Parkview up, 2-1. Beighley had walked and went to second on Holly Koch’s single. The pair then executed a double steal to set up Noble’s sacrifice fly.

The Vikings scored their final run in the sixth when Emily Harnack tripled and scored on a wild pitch.

Brodhead’s only run came in the first inning, which tied the game.

Amanda Pickel led off with a single and went to second on Erin Kloepping’s sacrifice. Taurie Burns singled Pickel to third, and Payton Wright dropped a sacrifice bunt to score her.

Noble was in a bit of a jam in the third, but shortstop Jordon Bell threw out a runner at the plate to end the inning.

Noble then retired the last 12 hitters.

Fort Atkinson (21-3) earned its shot at Union Grove (19-4) in a sectional semifinal by beating Oregon, 10-0, in a regional final Thursday.

The No. 3-seeded Blackhawks were leapfrogged by the No. 2-seeded Broncos during a protest at the seeding meeting. Fort Atkinson originally was voted in as the No. 2 seed, but Union Grove, the original No. 3 seed, protested. On the second vote, Union Grove got the No. 2 seed.

The seeding means Fort Atkinson has to play at Union Grove in the 4:30 p.m. game Monday.

Maddie Bare led the Blackhawks on Thursday. Bare hit a two-run homer in the fifth that ended the game on the 10-run rule. Bare also had a double and finished with three RBIs. Lexie Weigand went 3-for-4 with a double.

Kaitlyn Hollman pitched a one-hitter for the shutout.
