Kassandra Huerta’s second-half goal was the difference as Delavan-Darien defeated visiting Brown Deer, 1-0, in a WIAA Division 2 regional soccer semifinal win Thursday.

Huerta scored at the 53:24 mark off an assist from Ally Doerr.

Macie Hill made three saves in the Comet shutout.

Delavan-Darien (13-3-4) plays at New Berlin Eisenhower on Saturday.

Division 1

Lake Geneva Badger scored two second-half goals to down visiting Westosha Central, 3-1, in a WIAA Division 1 regional semifinal.

Badger, the No. 5 seed, plays Milton/Edgerton, the No. 4 seed, at 4 p.m. Saturday at Kenosha Tremper in a regional final.

Angelina Delgado put Badger ahead for good, 2-1, with an unassisted goal at the 49-minute mark. Delgado then assisted on Emma Kopp’s goal at the 60-minute mark for Badger (15-5-1).

Kelsey Nocek scored to put Badger ahead, 1-0, at the 11-minute mark. Autumn Mikrut made four saves for the Badgers.

Westosha finished 6-15-4.
