— Listeners of WCLO radio and WJVL radio will soon notice a void of familiar voices with the departure of three veteran staffers.

Stan and Rose Stricker are ending their careers at the Janesville stations this week, and Kyle Geissler will leave his responsibilities with the stations and The Gazette next week.

The Strickers will join Local Vision TV, an online television network that produces local news features, sports, government, education and entertainment videos.

Stan Stricker joined the stations in 2000 as a reporter, anchor and news director. Rose Stricker arrived in 2004 and hosts an afternoon news show and produces "Your Talk Show" on weekday mornings.

The Strickers have a long history of working together. They met at WNAM/WUSW in Neenah in 1989 and shared the mic as a newsman and morning show sidekick before marrying in 1992.

Geissler will become the managing editor of channel3000.com, the online site of WISC-TV in Madison.

He started at WCLO/WJVL in 2001, the same year he graduated from UW-Oshkosh. In 2006, he received a mass communications masters degree and joined The Gazette as its news flow editor to converge the print and radio newsroom and assist with the websites of all three properties.

In addition, Geissler negotiated the relocation of the News 3 Rock County bureau into The Gazette's newsroom and brought new content to its websites, including videos and community blogs.

Mike O'Brien, the radio stations' general manager, said the stations would fill the open positions.

"Stan and Rose are terrific broadcasters, and we know that their leaving will create a hole at our station," O'Brien said. "We need to find great broadcasters to replace them because that's what our audience has come to expect."

O'Brien said the stations likely will fill the news position with someone with new media and video capabilities to help offset the loss of Geissler.
