Albion clinches playoff berth
Albion clinched a Home Talent League baseball playoff berth Sunday.
Ben Everson drove in Kyle Johnson with the winning run as Albion upended Utica, 6-4. Albion improved to 13-1 in the West Division.
Matt Buhrow pitched a complete game to pick up the win, while Johnson finished with three hits.
Albion hosts Stoughton next Sunday in the second-to-last regular season game.
-- Stoughton 6, Evansville 4—Scott Pennycamp’s two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth proved to be the game-winner in a Southeast Section game Sunday afternoon.
Evansville (5-9 in the West Division) got a two-run home run from Mike Maves.
