— Janesville police have arrested a Beloit woman they say stole $250,000 from her employer, Janesville Brick and Tile, 1801 W. Court St, Janesville.

Police on July 12 arrested Connie L. Corcoran, 41, of 2040 Riverside Drive, Beloit, on a charge of felony theft. She is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 20.

Corcoran's job duties at the company included managing receivable and payable accounts, Detective Chris Buescher said. She is accused of writing checks to herself, according to police documents.

The case remains under investigation, Buescher said.
