Beloit Snappers fall to Captains

EASTLAKE, OHIO — The Beloit Snappers were hammered with 13 hits in an 8-5 loss Sunday to the Lake County Captains in Midwest League baseball.

The Captains scored four runs in the second and three in the third to take a 7-2 lead. Beloit starter Ryan O’Rourke (2-5) allowed all seven runs on seven hits, including three home runs, in 2 1/3 innings to take the loss.

The Captains’ Todd Hankins smacked a two-run homer off O’Rourke in the second. Lake County’s Franciso Lindor and Luigi Rodriguez hit solo and two-run shots, respectively, in the third inning.
