Beloit Snappers end losing streak
FORT WAYNE, IND. The Beloit Snappers put an end to a three-game losing streak Thursday night.
Jonathan Goncalves and Matthew Koch drove in two runs each to lead Beloit to a 6-2 Midwest League win over the Fort Wayne TinCaps.
Trailing 1-0 in the third, the Snappers tied the game with a single run in the inning before taking the lead for good with two runs in the fourth. Koch’s two-run single gave Beloit a
3-1 lead.
Jason Wheeler (10-4) picked up the win with eight solid innings. Wheeler struck out five and allowed five hits.
The two teams wrap up the three-game series today.
