JANESVILLE A Janesville business data processing company, Data Dimensions, has purchased a Brown Deer firm, Data Exchange Center, to better serve customers in the Milwaukee and Fox Valley areas.
"This transaction marks the next step in Data Dimensions' continual evolution as a leader in the business process automation industry," said Data Dimensions President and CEO Jon Boumstein. "Data Exchange Center's management team has truly built a lean operation that has the ability to quickly react to changing client needs."
Business process automation, BPA, is a strategy that businesses use to replace or supplement manual processes to lower costs.
Because the acquisition is strategic to better serve markets, no immediate employment changes are anticipated, said Data Dimensions Chairman Mark Bush. The purchase price was not announced.
"We employ about 325 in Janesville, and there are about 40 employees in Brown Deer," Bush said. "Over time, we expect larger growth in Janesville. Our goal is to add about 200 employees in Janesville over the next four to five years and about 20 in Brown Deer."
Data Dimensions, created in 1982, was looking to expand, Boumstein said.
"The acquisition supports our commitment to pursue attractive growth opportunities and expand our client base," he said. "As we continue to grow and gain market share in this ever-changing industry, we will increase our service offerings."

I'm sure it could be so easy to ship jobs overseas. It's wonderful that they are here.
