Clinton man faces child porn charges

CLINTON — A Clinton man faces 10 counts of possession of child pornography after authorities say they found illegal material on a laptop computer in his home, according to a criminal complaint.
Shannon D. Davis, 41, of 418 Church St., was arrested after special agents from the state Division of Criminal Investigation along with members of the Rock County Sheriff's Office and Clinton Police Department executed a search warrant at his home Monday, Jan. 23, according to a news release.
According to the news release and criminal complaint:
Seized as a result of the search warrant were computers, numerous items of computer media, miscellaneous documents, digital cameras and multiple firearms.
The search came after a state special agent learned that an IP address later identified through Charter Communications as being assigned to Davis' home had child pornography available for sharing over the Internet.
Davis is free on a signature bond and is scheduled to be back in court at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8.
