— Dane Litke, coach of the Janesville Jets, will be the head coach of the North American Hockey League's Midwest Division squad in next month's Top Prospects Tournament.

The tourney will be held Feb. 20-22 at the Troy Sports Center in Troy, Mich.

The event features teams from the Central, Midwest, North, South and West divisions of the NAHL, along with an NAHL 18U Selects team comprised of some of the top players playing in the NAHL that were born in 1993 or later.

College and pro scouts use the tournament to gauge the ability of the top players.

The Jets will send five players to the Midwest Division team based on the team's current first-place winning percentage (.770) in the Midwest.

The St. Louis Bandits (.694) will send four, the Springfield Jr. Blues (.432) and Coulee Region Chill (.388) will each send three and the Chicago Hitmen (.222) will send two.

Jeff Brown of the St. Louis Bandits will be Litke's assistant.

Each of the teams will consist of a 20-man roster (12 forwards, 6 defensemen, 2 goaltenders), with minor player divisional crossover amongst the six teams.

The Jets will have a two-game series tonight and Saturday night against Traverse City of the North Division at the Janesville Ice Arena.

Traverse City is 17-11-5, while the Jets are 27-7-3. Both games start at 7:05 p.m.

Jordan Bancroft leads the Jets in scoring with 17 goals and 21 assists for 38 points.

Connor McBride is second with 16-19-35, and Pijus Rulevicius is third at 14-16-30.
