Hawkeyes rally past Badger women

— Taylor Wurtz led Wisconsin to a one-point lead at halftime at Iowa on Thursday night.

When the Hawkeyes shut her down, the Badgers' chances of a win in the Big Ten Conference women's basketball game went with it.

Wurtz was held scoreless in the second half, and the Hawkeyes overcame a 28-27 halftime deficit to roll to a 69-57 victory.

The Hawkeyes improved to 3-3 in the Big Ten and 11-8 overall. The Badgers fell to 1-5, 5-13.

Wurtz finished with 12 points, all in the first half. Morgan Paige led the Badgers with 20 points, including six three-pointers. Anya Covington added 10 points.

Jaime Printy led the Hawkeyes with 25 points, hitting all nine of her free throws. Iowa was 16-of-16 from the line.

The Badgers were outrebounded, 41-19.
