— Two Milwaukee women were injured during a fight just after midnight Monday at The Bear Chest, 1901 S. Wisconsin Ave.

Nodia Jackson, 22, and Wynonia Gullett, 30, were taken to Beloit Memorial Hospital. Jackson was treated and released. Gullett was admitted and later taken to the Rock County Jail, Town of Beloit Police Chief Steve Kopp said.

The women, both entertainers at The Bear Chest, suffered stab wounds, Kopp said.

The fight in the bar's lounge—not in any public area of the building—stemmed from a disagreement between the two women, Kopp said.

"Whatever the cause of this personal issue, one was armed with scissors and attacked the other in the course of the fight that took place. Both ended up receiving stab-type injuries," he said.

Gullett was arrested on charges of substantial battery while armed, disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer and intentional use of pepper spray. Jackson was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, Kopp said.
